Time to celebrate.

Happy Weekend!

I wish there really was some celebratin’ goin’ on around here, but sadly my little boy is having a really hard time since his surgery earlier this week.  He threw up all day yesterday….can’t keep the pain medication down and is in an excruciating amount of pain when he throws up.  He’s so weak and sad; just breaks my heart to see him suffering.  Today is the Boise State/Hawaii game (Hi, Lorraine ;)) and he and I will have to watch it from home while my husband and daughter head downtown to the Blue.  {sigh}  While I didn’t get all that I had planned to get done this week while I was off completed, I was able to get a few things made while he napped yesterday.  I hope he does that some more today because I am a little behind schedule on my Christmas wrapping *gasp*

Anywhooo….I do believe I have saved the best for last of the cards that I had published in the September issue of CARDs magazine.

Oh I just love this card!!…just.love.it.  There’s an expression that I like – and it’s got a bad word in it, so don’t get all self-righteous on me – but it’s:  you can’t make chicken salad out of chicken shit.  Oh come on, it’s just the S word 😉  Anyway, the point being – if you want to make something hot, you’ve got to use hot product.  It doesn’t get much hotter than Webster’s Pages.  They make the most incredible, beautiful, soft, elegant product.  I feel all girly and happy when I am creating with Webster’s Pages at my fingertips.  So yeah – Webster’s paper, and bloomers (the flouncy flower trim) and then I used one of their journaling cards up in the left corner and I have my row of buttons covering where the edge met the patterned paper.  And that’s a lil’ Verve stamp to finish it off.

so sorry to hear about little man…perhaps the pain meds are too strong…we adults can tolerate much more…poor baby! Congrats on SC pub…I keep saying I’m gonna submit to Scrapbook Trends but haven’t found the time….card is gorgeous!!! If you love Webster’s you need to check out their new Christmas stuff-especially the one paper collection called Waiting for Santa. I bought a few papers for home decor (framing)…the one called reindeer cottage.
