A Christmas season hostess gift.

I reckon by now we are all well in to the hustle & bustle of the season: shopping (not me ;)), wrapping, making cards (again, not me ;)), mailing packages, making gifts, baking (haven’t started that yet). Handmade gifts don’t work for everyone – at least I don’t think so – but I really do like handmade gifts for hostess gifts. We are going to a dinner at my boss’ house this weekend so I made some gift bags as their hostess gift.
I used my kraft window coffee bags from the shoppe, and I started them all the same with a doily and a diecut tree. My patterned papers and stickers are all from the Very Merry collection made by my sweet friends over at October Afternoon.
Fun cardstock sticker sheets with adorable Victorian whimsy houses – had to pair with some eyelet trim.
Big letters – LOVE! My husband looked at this and said “who’s Alli?” – ugh.
A little less busy for me – but I really wanted the tree trims and the crystal embellishments to have their moment.
My boss’ daughter is named Madeleine – what a beautiful name; had to make a bag as pretty as the name.
And he’s got a fun little boy named Ian who is the same age as my son – so I had to make something kiddie and fun for him.

These so totally ROCK! They are all gorgeous and anyone would be happy to get one. And I am still in awe over how you can make a plain bag look like heaven. How long does it take you to make one bag? Oh and my coupon adventures yesterday failed. My DH didn’t want to wait for me to look for coupons (said don’t waste time and if you buy everything from one store you save a lot of money anyway – HUH?!) and then the store said their policy is not to accept “printed” coupons. !#$@#$$#$ The bill was over $300 and I ended up saving $3. 1%, how sad, lol.

This bags are just beautiful and will definitely be loved by the hostess, esp. the fact that you personalized them. Way to score points on top of being thoughtful. LOL @ your hubby saying who’s ALLI!
