Teacher Valentine Gifts.

Alright girls, it’s Monday the 7th.  We’ve got exactly 1 week left to get all our Valentine goodies made and packaged up.  I think I’m good on cards, school Valentines are done, for the school party goody bags I found a bunch of Oriental Trading stuff in the garage to put together including canvas Valentine bags so that’ll be a piece of cake; all that’s left are the teacher gifts which is what I’m sharing with you today.

Sharpies were on sale BOGO at Office Depot last month when I went with the free $30 that they sent me
So each teacher is getting a set of Sharpies in these limited edition colors.

I love using my brown paper sacks for gifts, and vintage screams love to me, so I thought these vintage print sacks would be perfect to Valentize.

The patterned paper I was going to work with has a lot of white in it, so I wanted to get some white on to the bags so that the kraft color wasn’t overpowering.

A little messy, but fun.

Echo Park’s Be Mine collection – with pretty damasks and Parisian images, is modern vintage with that great raspberry color.

I love using doilies.  Get them super cheap at Hobby Lobby or your local craft store in the baking section….and use your weekly 40% off coupon; you’ll get a bunch for cheap and they’ll last you forever.

Some people Glimmer Mist their doilies.  I am anti-Glimmer Mist so to add color I just took my Raspberry Fizz inkpad and patted the border of my doilies.

When I first got in to cardmaking I bought every set of Spellbinder’s Nesties they had.  Then I sold them all.  I kept a flower and a Christmas tree and a pointsettia and this scalloped heart set.

Once I had my bag, my doily, and my heart ready, I started embellishing with stickers from Be Mine, ribbons, and a little piece of bling.

And then I made some quick, coordinating gift tags to go on the Sharpie packs inside of the bags.
