Hello and thank you for stopping in along the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop.
The theme of this month’s Hop is scallops – so let’s get right to it.

I embellished some bags for the kids’ teachers for Valentine’s Day and remembered well after that there are other teachers like the PE teacher and the music teacher who didn’t get anything from us and probably aren’t remembered too often.  So I thought it’d be nice to send them a little something too – just as heartfelt, albeit a little late.

I started with this fun paper sack and embellished the heck out if it with some new Prima goodness.  I punched a few rows of scallops with a Fiskars border punch and just layered them on top of each other and curled up the scallops.

I tied some tulle around my bag before stacking my PTI dies on.

I love love love the new Tag Sale #4 die – perfect for layering a chunky circle piece in the middle.

The base of my tag was the library card die, then stacked with the larger basic banner die, topped with the tag sale #4 die.  I tied that off with some coordinating PTI ribbon in Summer Sunrise.

My second bag is pretty much the same – just using a different Prima collection.

Music note patterned scallops and some yummy chocolate tulle on this one.
A note on my scallop strips: I used the remnant from the 6×6 page that I cut the banner from.  Because of the shape of the banner, I only had enough paper for one long strip and then a shorter one and an even shorter one after that.  I still layered them on the right sides of both bags and used that as an opportunity to layer my tag at an angle to cover up the open spot on the left side.  With the tulle bow on the right, it looks like it was all meant to be 😉

A pretty butterfly from Jenni Bowlin and some yummy chocolate pearls.

Again my stacked library card tag, topped with the basic banner and then the tag sale #4 die and then tied off with some Hawaiian Shores ribbon.

See you on the Hop!
