Shopping and saving with Swagbucks.

I’ve earned (34) $5 Amazon gift cards since signing on with Swagbucks last fall.  That translates to $170 for me.  My husband has earned about half that, so that’s another $85 for us which equals $255 in Amazon.com money.  We use this money to buy birthday and Christmas gifts for the kids.  My daughter’s birthday just passed and I was able to score her a bunch of Junie B Jones books absolutely free.  And I mean free because we also signed up for Amazon Mom/Amazon Dad that got us each a few months free of Amazon Prime which is 2-day shipping for free.  As I am wrapping my son’s birthday goods now, I see we got him (4) Wii games free as well.

Here’s a little visual on how Swagbucks works, and fun ways to earn them.

My current Swagbucks count is 219. Every time I hit 450, I cash in for a $5 Amazon card. Some people wait, but because you can only cash in 4 per month, and it takes up to 1-week to process, I don’t see any reason to wait.

Hello, that’s some serious Swagbuckin’ for me! 🙂

Shop & Earn. This is great any time you need to shop online – um, like more than once a week, right? I go to this page and look up to see if the place I am going to shop at is listed here. Almost every shopping site shown gives you 2 Swagbucks for every $1 you spend. This is perfect for when The Children’s Place is having a really hot sale, like 70% off and I am getting $200 worth of stuff for $60, I am also double-dipping and making 60×2 = 120 Swagbucks by going through Swagbucks. I also do this at Lowe’s. My husband could live at Lowe’s and they are my one-stop-shop for birthday/Father’s Day/anniversary/Christmas. And the cool thing is that you can shop and pay online and pick it up in the store easy peasy. Again, by going through Swagbucks to get to the site, I earn the additional Swagbucks on $ I was going to spend anyway.

Groupons. Do you Groupon?  I do. I usually get the $5 for $10 worth of frozen yogurt and $10 for $25 worth of cookie sorts of things. These are perfect to have in the car when we are running around on a Saturday and get to stop in for an unexpected treat that I am not having to spend any more money on. And no matter how big or small the offer, by going through Swagbucks to buy your Groupon, you earn an automatic 160 Swagbucks!  Gotta love that.

And then there’s regular ol’ seaches. I Swagbuck even my everyday sites. Like Flickr.com which I use to host all my blog photos. And look – I just so happened to snag me another 7 this morning.

And while we’re on the subject of shopping & saving, don’t forget my shoppe sale: 30% off. That’s the biggest sale I’ve had yet. I’ve got (4) different sizes of glassine bags in stock, and all sorts of fun gingham and vintage print bags. Think class parties in the fall, and Christmas gift bags & tags and buy and save now for the things you’re goinna have to create later; that’s what I would do 😉

SummerSale

Place an order between now and July 4th, and 30% of your pre-ship price will be refunded to you.

Thanks for the tips–I like to be reminded of all the things to do because I get in a rut with Swagbucks. I have $40 in amazon gift cards but haven’t spent any of it! I’m hoping to buy my next batch of ink for my printer with the Swagbucks–that way I can tell myself that any digital paper I print is “free.” ;-D
