Two posts today…be sure and hit ’em both!

I make a lot of thank-you cards, but when it comes time that I need one right now right now it never fails that I don’t have just the right one.  So I sat down and made one special for a friend of mine the other day.  I had knee surgery last month and was really surprised by the people who came through for me if you know what I mean.  A wise lady once told me: you get yourself laid up in the hospital and you’ll find out who your real friends are.  She was right.  Pleasantly surprised, I was.  And for that I am grateful and giving thanks.

I love 5×5 cards.  They are my favorite size card to make.  Yes, there is some waste with the cardstock, but you can save that 3.5 x 11 strip and make a mini card with it 😉

The hardest part of 5×5 cards though really is the packaging. But if you’re like me and you can’t ever make a single layer card that fits in to a normal envelope anyway, that part is always an issue. I just use glassine bags though. They work perfectly. And they’re fun to embellish to coordinate with the card too 🙂

Beautiful thank you cards. I love the 5 by 5 also. How are you doing with your knee? I think I might have missed that. Take care Michelle .
