July CARDs – Designer of the Month.
Posted by Michelle on August 15th, 2011 . Filed under: Cards, Published Work .I was fortunate enough to be the CARDs magazine Designer of the Month for July. I seriously felt like Miss America. Only I’d never be caught in public in a bathing suit, I can’t play the piano, and I don’t really have a tiara. But it was exciting for me just the same. I had 5 cards in for the DOTM feature, another 2 cards were picked-up in to the rest of the magazine, and then they took another card to feature on their blog. 8 cards in one month…that’s a lot of cards. So, I guess I’m gonna bore you with them here this week *giggles*
I love this card so much. It’s really hodge-podgey. Paper from Melissa Frances, chipboard from My Mind’s Eye, Jenni Bowlin bingo card; swooshed paint on the edges, fun lace trim, baker’s twine and a button. Really all the things I love to work with in my cards and I’m glad they put this one as the first one in my feature as it’s so me.

When I was reading my July issue (online)…..I said outloud….”Hey! I know her!!!” DH was just shaking his head at me. Loved all your designs, Michelle and I would also feel that way! You do a fantastic job on all of your cards and this one takes the cake. Love it! Congrats!
