Happy Sunday!  Welcome back to another edition of Adventures in Couponing.
I am so happy to be back in the game.  And it really is a game.  A lot of planning and strategizing and prioritizing.  For example this week Albertsons was hot.  I mean reallllly hot.  But I didn’t have enough doublers to get everything I wanted 🙁  So I had to prioritize and take in to account things like I could get this free but would it be better to get this that we would use/need more even if I have to pay 49-cents for it.
Couponing ain’t a breeze, folks.  But it’s so worth it on the pocketbook 😉

I can’t tell you how happy I am to finally!! have these dang WhoNu cookies.
They are new on the market and have coupons galore out there but the store is always out when I get there.  This week I just called my friendly neighborhood Albertsons store manager and asked him to put some aside for me.  Naturally when I got there the shelf was full and they had my stash in the back.  These cookies are retailing for $3.19 a box.  They were on sale for $2.50 each, I doubled $1-off and got these for 50-cents a box.
In addition, I had some BOGO coupons that I paired with so some of these I got for 25-cents
(if you pay 50-cents for one and get one free with it that makes them 25-cents each).

These Tyson Anytizers chicken bites have been pretty elusive as well.  They usually only have the spicy ones which don’t work for my kids.  But this time they had some of the honey BBQ so that was good.  These bad boys are $3.99, on sale for $2.50, doubled $1 and got them for 50-cents each.  The soy sauce was free – priced at $1.39, doubled $1 and it was free.  And the tuna pouches were on sale for $1, doubled 50-cents off and they were free too.

My stock-up price for cereal is $1.  So if I have the cash and can get cereal for $1 per box, I’ll get 20 boxes.  The Cocoa Puffs were priced at $3.99 (for real?), on sale for $1.99 – which is a good price for a non-couponer – but I doubled 75-cents off and got (6) boxes for 49-cents each.  Wish I had more coupons at this hot price!

CocoaPuffs

Totino’s pizza “America’s best selling”.  Seriously?  Just keepin’ it real, it ain’t gourmet or anything.  It’s probably “best selling” because it’s cheap.  They were $1.50 each, part of that awesome General Mills Hamburger Helper deal making them $1.25 each, I doubled a few coupons and got $5 back and a Box Tops voucher and got these for 35-cents each.  Add some fresh melon and a glass of milk and we have a quick, easy, and cheap lunch for the kids on the weekend.

TotinosPizza

The Totino’s pizza rolls were part of the same promo which had them regularly priced at $2.39, on sale for $1 each, after coupons, doublers and $5 back, I paid 14-cents each.  What a great snack to have with some carrots, celery and ranch, and some football!

V8 juice.  FREE V-8 juice.  This stuff is $4.09 a bottle – ack!  They were on sale for $2 each.
I doubled $1 and got these all free.  Yummy!

Good job! Will you come back with a verdict on those “who nu” cookies? I saw an ad for them the other day and like with all things that promise to be healthy, I wonder how they taste! The honey bbq any teasers are good with a little extra honey drizzled on them…
