Adventures in Couponing.

In case you missed it, I posted a little coupon adventure a few days ago.  And there’s also a way that you can help someone in need.  If you missed it, be sure and check it out.

More from that trip to Albertsons with double coupons.  More of these WhoNu cookies.  They taste like normal cookies but I don’t care for them because I find them to be too sweet.  Yes, I said it:  a cookie that is too sweet.  Regular price on these is $3.19, on sale for $2.50, doubled $1 and got these for 50-cents a box.

And more from Albies, but with no fancy couponing.  Here’s a classic example of how you can score on products that are new on the market.  These Precise heat patches and creams are new from Tylenol.  There was a coupon that came out in the Sunday paper for $5 off.  So I was going to buy a bunch of them at Walmart for the couple bucks they would be after the $5-off, but they were wiped out.  In the new Albertsons ad that came out on Wednesday, they had these on sale 2/$10 – $5 each.  Pair a $5-off coupon and these are totally free.  And me with my bum knee, husband with a bad back, wintertime coming, my mom and my aunt having arthritis, these are going to come in handy. 20 of these at $7.99 each = $159.80 and I got them for $0.

I made another trip to the Walmart with a few double coupons I had left.
This Crest kid’s toothpaste was $1.97, doubled $1-off any Crest over 4 oz. and got these for free.  The Colgate Wisps were $1.50, doubled 50-cents off coupons and got them for 50-cents each.  They were by the kid toothpaste and toothbrushes and I’m not really sure what they are, but I’m all for another way to get these kiddies to have good oral hygiene!  Mahatma – my Yaya swore by this brand – was $2.16, doubled 50-cents and paid $1.16 (not free but a good price for this brand, and brown rice).  This new Authentico tuna from Starkist was $1.38, doubled 50-cents and got these for 38-cents.

The Rubbermaid coupons came out before I started subscribing to getting 10 Sunday papers delivered every week.  So I had to do a little coupon trade with a fellow couponer.  I found these at Walmart for $2.26 each, doubled $1 and paid 26-cents each!  Great for soccer games, to take camping, or to take to the air show today at the Air Force Base where you can only take things in transparent containers.

Awesome! Love the rubbermaid score. I also think your giveaway is great. I don’t know anyone in need but I will ask around school.

GAH – your coupon shopping always amazes me. And what a great thing to do for a family in need. I hope you get a taker for the box.
