Halloween Banner.

One of my best investments since I got in to this whole papercrafting world has been these banner dies.  I use them all. the. time.  I’ve made little books with them, put banners on cards, and as I’ve done before and here today – made a banner for home decor.  I love love love banners and hope they are a trend that never goes away!

I have made a couple of things with this fun Doodlebug Halloween paper this year.  I only bought I think 4 sheets of it plus the diecut page and I have made it go really far – LOL!  That’s how cheap I am 😉
So I diecut lil’ banner pieces, adhered it quickly with the Dot N Go from Glue Dots – seriously the best adhesive invention ever (and I would say that even if I weren’t one of their designers).

I wanted more ribbon than just what was threaded through the banner to give it more of that homespun feel so I used this sheer ribbon and this plaid ribbon from May Arts.  The plaid one is so fun! – I’m totally getting it in other colors.

I punched out little black spiders and adhered them with a Pop Up Glue Dot for another layer of dimension.
The dot was the exact same size as the lil’ bug’s body…perfect!

And this is my banner “hung by the chimney with care.”
I guess that’s from another holiday, but you get my drift 😉
