Happy Halloween!

Ah, Halloween.  I used to love Halloween.  Although now that I think about it, all I can remember is the Halloween where I got mugged by this jerk named David who I went to school with.  Him and his older brother bashed me over the head and took my pillowcase full of candy!  No lie.  I didn’t have to go to the hospital or anything.  I think I was more upset about losing my candy 🙁  Hopefully that won’t happen to either one of my kids tonight.  Better not as we’ll be trunk-or-treating in the church parking lot tonight.
My little cowgirl and my little Chef Boyardee.  Fun!

So up first I thought I’d share the little treat pockets I made for the kids’ class parties today at school.  And I thought it’d be fun for you to see my mess.  I am a messy crafter.  I have a small space so everything has to be within reach.  And for these I pretty much took out anything that could pass for Halloween and threw them on the pockets here and there.

I used patterned papers from almost every major manufacturer out there, and using a lot of Graphic 45 paper and chipboard from their Magic of Oz and Hallowe’en in Wonderland collections.

And then I packaged up a couple of sweet treats for the kids’ teachers.  Mrs. Harris mentioned in her get to know you thing with the kids the first week of school that she loved Hot Tamales.  So we got a couple of boxes together and I embellished it with some American Crafts patterned paper, a fun doily, some vintage seam binding and other shimmery bits.

My son said that Mrs. Walker keeps a bowl of little Almond Joys on her desk.  So I packed up a couple of king size Almond Joys in to one of my vintage print bags with a lot of the same pieces from the treat above.

Hope your Halloween is a fun one….and that nobody steals your candy today!

Happy Halloween, Michelle. Your little pockets look delicious!
Love all the wonderful papers and fun details.
We don’t get too many visitors along our street, so it’s usually a quiet night around here. The trunk or treating idea sounds like fun! Have a spooktacular evening!
