School party goodie bags.

Today is the last day of school before winter break for my kids.  And one of them has their Christmas party at 9:15 this morning, the other is at 12:30.  Looks like I’m spending the day at school today.  Should be fun though – and with the different times, I won’t have to be running back and forth between classrooms so that’s a plus.  I always make something craftylike to take to their parties.  They love it, and they have come to expect it which means I have to bring my A-game each time.  If you follow my couponing posts, you know that I’ve been scoring bunches and bunches of candy on the cheap and on the free.  So I knew I had that going for me.  I just had to figure out the packaging.  I remembered I had these little red lunch bags in my shoppe and decided to make little pockets out of them.

I had to make 58 of these little guys.  And I won’t lie – these did take some time.  I folded up the bag bottom, stamped my sentiment (Waltzingmouse Stamps), adhered my patterned paper (Graphic 45), painted the edges, stitched the bottom, filled with goodies and then tied off with tulle.

My son’s class has kids with nut/chocolate allergies so theirs had SweeTarts, Laffy Taffy and Spree candies in them along with a Christmas pencil and a Christmas bendy straw.  My daughter’s class got the Snickers nutcrackers and the Russell Stover candies along with the pencil and the straw.

Those turned out amazing! Love how you stitched the bottom! That’s a cool idea!
I’m sure all the kids will love them! Have fun at the school. I sort of miss those days 🙁 It’s no longer “cool” for me to do this, or so I’m told….lol

Great idea. I like how you used the bags. These are lovely. 58 of them? Gosh that is a lot.

You have been one busy lady. Love both the stitching and white on the bags. Those bows from the tulle are exquisite.
