Christmas cards for my husband and kids.

My daughter – then 6-years old – decided last year to start a family tradition of making cards for each other that we would open on Christmas morning.  I have this little red vintage metal bucket with handles that we use to put them in.  Last night she asked my husband to bring in the bucket from the garage so she could put her cards in it.  She asked where mine where….  Um…they’re not quite ready yet.  Translation: I kinda forgot to make them?  So this morning after I made fudge, they all worked on those peanut butter cookies with the Hershey Kisses on top (I’m not a fan of this cookie) and I snuck away to my craft table and whipped up their cards with a quickness.

Just to make it easy, I did the same base on each one, a 5×5 card in Vintage Cream, inked the edges, cut the patterned paper and inked the edges and my bases were done.  Then I just embellished with coordinating stickers and ribbon and canvas pieces – all from Webster’s Pages.  Took me about an hour to create, photograph, edit, upload and blog.  And they didn’t turn out half bad – LOL!  Hope all your loose ends have come together as well.  Santa will be here in about 12 hours!
