Money-Saving Monday.

Happy New Week!  I’m back today with another installment of Money-Saving Mondays.
If you are a regular here on the blog, you know that I do the Swagbucks thing where I earn a $5 Amazon.com gift card every week.  In turn I use these gift cards to buy Christmas gifts, and foodstuff for my stockpile.  Money-Saving Mondays mostly revolve around Amazon.com as I take advantage of their free shipping via Amazon Prime.  You can get a free 30-day trial of free 2-day shipping.  So you can stock up and get a lot done in this first month and then cancel before your subscription expires.  Or, you can decide to pay the annual fee of $79 and just have this be your all-the-time shipping method (totally worth it IMO).

Today’s focus is on the get fit in the new year kinda stuff.  And I found a few things that will help us – affordably.

I found a great deal on these honey oat Clif Bars that would be good to snatch up at a bargain right now.  You get (2) boxes of 10 bars for $7.98.  However, you can get that price down to $6.78 (only 34-cents a bar!) by hitting the subscribe & save option to get the lowest price.  Don’t be scared, I do this all the time, I swear.  You mark subscribe & save, you get the lowest price, and then after it ships, you go back in to your account and you cancel your subscription.  It’s one of those no-obligation/cancel-at-any-time things that is offered so take advantage and get you some foodstuff on the cheap.

4 packs of Bob’s Wheat Bran are only $4.66 with the subscribe & save option.  I’ve seen these at Albertsons and that’s the normal price for 1 pack.  I actually ordered these to dip bananas in Hershey’s chocolate syrup and then in to the wheat bran – a healthier treat, I think.  I reckon you can bake with this too 😉

I read somewhere that if you chew gum, it’ll help you lose weight because you feel like you’re eating as your mouth is moving or something like that?  A little fatty mind game if you will 😉  Dentyne Fire Gum is only $7.21 for a box of 12 with the subscribe and save option which makes them 60-cents a pack.  That’s a good deal, eh?  However, it does kinda make it sound in the description and in the subscribe and save box that this is for 12 boxes of 12.  I’m really not sure.  But that could get these bad boys down to 5-cents a pack!  Worth the risk if you were thinking of getting it at the 60-cent price.  Same goes for the Trident White gum.

These 90-calorie snack packs of almond butter sound soooo stinkin’ good!  A 24-pack is only $8.32 on the subscribe & save option.  I’m all about convenience, and pre-packed things like this – for only 58-cents a piece – are a great snack to drop in to my lunch bag and take to the office.

And if you need a crazy funky cool insulated lunch bag, check this one out!

Just a reminder that Amazon prices tend to change for no apparent reason and in no defined timeframe.  So if you’re interested in something, snatch it up while it’s at a good price.  And if you have any questions, just shoot me an e-mail (link on the sidebar).
