Adventures in Couponing.

It’s Sunday and that means I’ve got another couponing adventure to share with you here on the ol’ blog.  This week I’ve got Walmart shopping to share with you where they matched Albertsons and Kmart’s double coupon days.  Again, Walmart price-match decisions are made on the local level, so be sure and ask your store if they do anything like that….and even suggest to your store manager that they talk to other store managers around the country and see how it’s working in their market.  Hey – it never hurts to ask, right?  So off we go with this week’s savings….

These new Kraft Fresh Takes are like a shake & bake with cheese.  After coupons and doublers they were 9-cents each.  Kinda hiding back there in the picture are Hillshire farms grilled chickens and they were $1.33 after coupons and doublers.  My kids love these Yo Crunch yogurts with the Oreo pieces, and I got the strawberry with almond ones for me – 5-cents each.  I needed lunch meat, and had coupons for $2-off Sara Lee deli meat, so I took advantage of that at the Walmart and got the turkey for about $3 each instead of $5 each.

I’m on this low-carb high-protein thing and pork rinds have no carbs and are a great snacky for me.  They were in a clearance basket for 50-cents each.  So were the Kettle chips, 50-cents each and I had $1-off coupons which earned me 50-cents of overage on each one.  The sweet potato tater tots – which I did not care for at all but the rest of the family loved them – were 55-cents a bag after coupons and doublers.

The McCann’s Irish oatmeal was about 50-cents and I thought it would be fun to send this in a St. Patrick’s Day package.  The Nilla wafers were still expensive, but I had a coupon and my little coupon girl talked me in to getting them for her.  But I saved $2 a box….still paid more than $1 which is crazy.  The Wasa crackers were free.

The little Uncle Ben’s rice tubs were 33-cents each after coupons and doublers, the Kikkoman sweet & sour sauces were free, and the Hinode microwave rice pouches were 55-cents each.

I had a coupon for $1 off the Manwich sauce and the Sara Lee buns, which I doubled and got both for $1.33.  Muir Glen tomato sauces were 25-cents each, Las Palmas enchilada sauces were 13-cents each, and Hidden Valley veggie kits were free.

50-cent almonds, 8-cent pickles, and 50-cent deviled ham.

Totally free Valentine candy, and gum, and the gummy bears were 30-cents.

029 copy

$1 Ziploc bags, $1 Purell packs for the kids’ backpacks, $1 Garniers, and free toothpaste and Cascade packs.

And then I sent my husband down to try and score on the Tena coupon deal that I told you about last week.  He wasn’t able to score the million-dollar overage that I scored last week, but he got them free plus canned veggies for 25-cents each.

    Michelle,
I love seeing your coupon scores! Have you ever posted pictures of your stockpile closet/garage?? I’d love to see where/how you store your massive scores! 🙂

Once again I bow to you! I have no clue how you do it. I did get really excited last week when I got cinnamon toast crunch (the only cereal my kid will eat) for a dollar a box.
