Adventures in Couponing.
Posted by Michelle on March 18th, 2012 . Filed under: Couponing .Hello and welcome to another one of my coupon adventures. We got a lotttttt of stuff at the Walmart this week – Wednesdays and Saturdays they double coupons because KMart doubles coupons on those days and then on Sundays when Albertsons has double coupons, they will double then as well. A lot of shopping – and a lot of saving, so let’s get to it.
Free Yoplaits and Activias, milk for $1 a gallon, 68-cent YoCrunch 4-packs, and 1 random YoCrunch Oreo for 8-cents.
$3.98 for the 2-pound cheeses (probably could have waited for a better deal to come along, but we needed it so I got it for $2-off while I could), $2 packs of string cheese, free Tuscan butter (sooooo good on grilled cheese sammies!), 18-cent Country Crock spread, and $1.50 for OJ.
9-cent Kraft Fresh Takes (if you haven’t tried these, you are missing out), $2.98 Hormel meat loaf, and 98-cent cinnamon apples.
38-cent fruit snacks. We were completely out so I bought all that I could with the coupons that I had.
32-cent Panko which I should not have gotten because we already had plenty so I don’t know what the heckles I was thinking, and 4-cent fish fry which we’ll probably use more for okra and fried green tomatoes than fish.
Free Pretzel Crisps, and 40-cent mini boxes of Keebler crackers.
33-cent Uncle Ben’s rice, 50-cent mac & cheese, 74-cent Jasmine rice which is the most delicate yummy white rice ever, 48-cent Rice-A-Roni, and 68-cents for 2-pound bags of white rice.
Free Hormel kid’s meals, 8-cent tuna pouches, and 38-cents for Underwood roast beef spread.
10-cent Libby’s veggies, free Las Palmas enchilada sauce & free Ortega chiles, and pickles for 18-cents.
88-cent Welch’s jelly, 98-cent Planter’s peanut butter, 48-cent Dole fruit crisps and 98-cents for Welch’s grape drinks.
34-cent Lipton iced teas, $1 Crystal Lights, and free coffee for my mom.
$1.94 for the Hershey packs – stocking up now for camping season and while I had coupons for them, free single packs of Dentyne gum, 18-cent multipacks of Dentyne gum, and $1.98 Ghirardelli bars. The green Dentyne multipacks and the green Ghirardellis went in to a St. Patrick’s Day package for my friend. And the rest of the gum went in to my nephew’s birthday package. Still great deals, although I normally don’t pay anything for gum, but because they were for gifts and not just random, I’m OK with it.
We got a new dishwasher and it came with coupons for some Finish products which I don’t use, but I got all 3 of these items for just a couple of dollars, 97-cent napkins, 8-cent Dawn, and $1 for Ziploc bags. We go through a lot of baggies with my husband and I taking our lunches and snacks to work every day so I need to do a cost comparison with getting them in the big box at Costco.
Free Clorox wipes, free Renuzits, 26-cents for the Renuzit Fresh Accents (went in the aforementioned St. Patrick’s Day package because they’re green too), 17-cents for Lava soap, and then I found 1 Clorox2 pen on clearance for $2.50, doubled $1 and got it for 50-cents.
50-cent Tums, 48-cent Pampers wipes (use these at my craft table), free diapers (I’ll use these to barter with another couponer I know who has a garden and will trade her for some veggies), 48-cent Cottonelle “butt wipers” as my kids call them, and free cat treats.
Free shavers for the Christmas care packages we’re doing for the VA hospital this year, 96-cent Garnier shampoo & conditioners, $1.47 for batteries, and free toothbrushes.
*whew* Busy week. What about you? Any exciting savings to share?

Wow that was a crazy lot of stuff. The tuscan butter looks yummy. I did get a deal this week. I got a 129 dollar Ikea chair cover (brand new!!) for 24 bucks. I found it in the IKEA last chance section. It took my daughter and I awhile to find all the pieces but its a steal!

Wow! Awesome deals! I still don’t get it how it works! Is it different from state to state? Any tips on getting free diapers and wipes?
I found your blog through crafting, but I just can’t get over your couponing trips! :o)

Whew is right. I don’t totally understand how it works either, but you sure got some good deals. Love your St Paddy’s Day card too 🙂

Holy s***! Sorry. I had to say that. I thought I did fairly well couponing but you beat me by a long shot! I live in Northern CA so no doubling over here. Work with what I got I guess lol! Great deals!
