Kids-craft Mother’s Day cards.
Posted by Michelle on May 10th, 2012 . Filed under: Cards, Glitz Design, Glue Dots, It's in the Bag!, Mother's Day, School .Last year, I did a little Valentine craft at the kids’ school. The kids and the teachers were so appreciative that I wanted to try and make this a once a year thing. So this year I asked some of the companies I work with – Glitz Design and Glue Dots – if they would be so kind as to supply me with patterned paper and adhesive to do something. And they both did which was really really kind and generous on both their parts. So I went down to the school yesterday and the kids made Mother’s Day cards.
The second graders worked with Glitz’s Beautiful Dreamer collection. I die cut cardbases which they wrote on, used rubons on, and finished off with ribbon.
And then they embellished the pocket for the card (a glassine bag from my shoppe) with more pretty pink paper, a fantasticly vintage LOVE heart diecut, and a button.
The fourth graders worked with Glitz’s Lace With Grace collection.
Same concept – the pocket card – but they took at lot of artistic license which I thought was really wonderful.
If you’re anything like me, you probably have a ton of old product in your stash. If you ever have the opportunity to go and do a craft with your kids’ class at school, I would encourage you to do that.
It’s so incredibly rewarding.

Those are awesome!!! I remember when Chloe was in grade school and I did that. Always fun!! It became a yearly ritual for me too! Enjoy those times….they grow up so fast!
