Adventures in Couponing.

Had a busy couple of couponing weeks here on the ol’ blog, so we’re gonna slow it down a bit today with a couple of simple shops at Albertsons and Walgreens.  But be sure and come back next week because I’ve got some serious double couponing to share with you then 😉

Alright – first up are 19-cent Jolly Rancher candies at Albertsons.  Doubling these coupons at Walmart would have made them free, however I have not been able to find them in stock.  So I doubled the coupon at Albertsons and got these cheap enough.  I love having candy on hand to add to kid birthday presents.

Next up are these Alexia sweet potato fries that everyone in my family loves…except for me.  These were part of a little deal where they were on sale for $2.99 each, double $1 and you get them for 99-cents each.  At that point a catalina comes out for $1 that you can use on your next order, you double that, and that makes these free.
I love double-dipping on coupon/doublers/catalinas!

The Kikkoman deal was the same way – only it forced a moneymaker.  Buy the sauces for less than the amount of the catalina, double that and make money.  I used the overage to buy a loaf of French bread….

…and some potatoes, cream, donuts and onions.  Love me some free things that I don’t ever get coupons for.

And then there’s a little trip to Walgreens.  These Ecotrin (aspirin) were on sale 2 for $3 and then get a $2 Register Reward back.  I had $1.50 coupons which made these free and then I got the $2 RR.  Hello moneymaker, and thank you 🙂  And then these collagen and first aid things were $7 get $7 back.  So you use the $7 from the one to pay for the other….repeat over and over for more free.

The Arizona teas were on sale 2/$1 which is a great price – think that’s the lowest they go to there, and that’s what I used my Ecotrin overage to buy.  And some of that overage went to buy the paper plates that were on sale BOGO and I had coupons on each so these ended up being…99-cents or 50-cents, I can’t remember, but I didn’t pay because I had overage monies.  Walgreens is totally the easiest place to get in to couponing – especially because a lot of the time you don’t even need coupons to score their deals!  You DO need coupons to do moneymakers, but you can still get some great/free deals with their Register Rewards.

As always I am impressed. My deals never work out like this although I do score something decent once in awhile. Maybe if I took more time… LOL
