Bags & tags.

We went camping a lot this summer.  While the husband and kids were off geocaching, I’d get crafty.  One of the easiest things to do was to die cut.  Just toss some dies and some paper in a bag, pack the Big Shot, and away we go.  I had a bunch of fun patterned paper packs that didn’t get near enough use out of them as they should have, and I felt bad for being so wasteful, so I forced myself to die cut whacks of shapes.  And I did.  And then I had the pile staring at me for the past 2 months.

So over the weekend while my daughter sat in my room watching Good Luck Charlie, I put together a bunch of gift bags.  Using a simple brown kraft sack from my shoppe, I stamped a big sentiment on the bottom, layered on the diecuts with some dimensional adhesive here and there, and finished off with some thread at the top and a strip of washi at the bottom.  Thinking this set will be a Christmas gift for my sister-in-law.

I really do not like mass-producing.  But I love the look of the finished product.  Think I’ll be doing this again soon!

Such dreamy bags. But I don’t know how anyone could bare to use them for fear of marring its beauty? Loving the soft focus of the pictures too. Adds to the etherealness I suspect. 😉 Did you have to place anything in the bags to prevent the ink from seeping through? So clever.
