Did you have a good weekend? Mine was good. I had some bizarro puking thing goin’ on Friday morning, so I called in sick. And then towards the end of the day the ol’ bossman sent me an e-mail about something needing to be done by Tuesday. So I went to the office at 6:30am Saturday to get it done. And then went to get my car serviced. And then to my daughter’s soccer game. Then we had the family over to watch the Boise State game. Saturday was long. Got up at 6am Sunday to coupon, and the rest of the day was chill. Even got a little nappy-nap in.
So this card. It’s one of my most favorites ever. And I’m so tickled to have had it published in the June issue of CARDs magazine. The way I make a card, I have no plan. Zero. I start with what am I making a card for? Birthday, sympathy, what… And then I choose my patterned paper and go from there. Having no vision of what it’s going to look like at the end. And sometimes I make a wrong turn – which I did on this one. I had a disaster in the middle of the card, had to cover that with ribbon and then you could kinda see through it so I had to put that “date” sticker over the ribbon. But I LOVE the outcome and even more so because this card almost got thrown away midstream.

Wahoo! I love when a mistake ends up making the card better:) And of course no one is the wiser unless you spill the beans. *chuckle* You are so good at “accessorizing” Michelle. You probably always LOOK “put together” too, don’t you…*smile*

What a sweet little card Michelle. That mistake turned out so well! Love the papers, the ribbon… that date chipbord is perfect! I also like that small flower with the bling and pins. Great design!

Great card Michelle!! Sounds like your weekend was jammed packed!! Love that you shared you had a cover up on your card! I do that but did not think it happened to others! Just such a great card!
