My boss of 8.5 years got a big promotion and is leaving the company (and moving away). We’re taking him out to lunch today. And then after that, I’m going to a funeral for a former colleague. 50-years old, a wife, 2 kids in high school – died of eye cancer that spread. So sad. {sigh}
My boss had us do this thing at our Christmas lunch – we had to write on a card something positive about each other, and then each of us got little packets with these notes that people had written about us. So we had the idea to do that for him for his going away – and I volunteered to make the cards and packaging.
I decorated the front of a Maya Road kraft envelope with some pieces from My Mind’s Eye; and a fun stamp from Paper Smooches.
And then I made some plain cardstock cards with a to and a from, and a date on them.
No idea what I’m going to write on mine. How do I say goodbye to literally the best boss and mentor I ever had?

What a great idea Michelle. I bet your boss liked it. Love the papers and the date stamp. The stitching looks great.
