Springtime Banner.

I love making banners for our little dining room.  It was time to freshen up the place and put up a spring banner.  I sat down to make this one during the week after a long day at the office.  It was actually a 2-night thing because the paint had to dry from one night to the next.  But I went super easy, and super lazy.

My friend Dawn had given me a pack of lavender SU! cardstock a couple years ago and I’ve had it next to my craft table since then.  Finally decided to pair that up with this pretty American Crafts patterned paper.  So I just cut my cardstock, and left the patterned paper in it’s entirety – less work for me 😉 – and quick adhered it all with my handy-dandy Glue Dots roller.  And then I swooshed paint around the edges of each piece.

And then the next night, it was punching holes, adding some doilies, and threading.

This fun Lemon Divine Twine from Whisker Graphics matched perfectly.

Since I used up the entire paper pad, I figured I might as well use the stickers that went with that collection.

And now our dining room has some seasonal character to it.
