Feliz Navidad! – a Christmas Surprise.

Today we gave our kids a Christmas surprise. They thought we were going to California for Christmas to see Grandma & Grandpa. But we actually had no plans to see the fam, and instead are embarking on this pretty little boat today and heading to Mexico for Christmas. If you’ve known me for at least a few years, you know I love my cruises. We try to do one every year. And Mexico at Christmas, getting away from the brrrrr in Boise, oh yeah, all over that.
We’ve been keeping this a secret for nearly the entire year. The kids didn’t find out until we rolled up to the port today. We had told them we were taking the long way to Grandma & Grandpa’s to avoid crazy winter weather. And we didn’t tell any of our family either because I just knew that one of the grandmas would let it slip to the kids. So we told one grandma that we were going to see the other for Christmas, and told the other the same thing. And then today we are putting together a video on the ship to send to them and tell them where we are and why there will be no Christmas phone call from us. {I’m too cheap to pay for service outside of the US – ha!}
So. Yeah.
