Brownies & Fudge.

A girl I’ve worked with for a long time left the company last week.  Bummer deal…I really liked the girl….and I don’t say that about everyone 😉
So I baked.  On a Thursday night.  If I’m baking during the week, you know it’s for a good cause.

Oreo Peanut Butter Snickers Dark Chocolate Brownies
All good…except I’m not down with dark chocolate.  Not a fan.  At all.
Super easy to make.  Brownie mix – box, or your basic recipe.  Break up 1/2 of a 6 oz. box of Oreos in to the mix (these are those small boxes that have about 12 Oreos in them) along with 1/2 of a big bag of peanut butter Snickers.  Pour that in to a greased pan (I love love love Baker’s Joy), and then top with the remaining half of the broken Oreos and the remaining diced Snickerses.  Yes, I said Snickerses because I like making up words.  And bake however long you would normally bake your brownies.  Do not not not overbake.  That’s the key with brownies.
Aren’t they beautiful?

Reese’s Fudge
Ridiculously easy.  And so so so good.  I thought the brownies were goodness, but people raved about this fudge like the brownies were chopped liver.  I had a bag of Reese’s left over from Easter.  The little ones in the pastelly foil wrappers.  A big bag.  Unwrapped them, and lined the bottom of a foil and lightly Pam’d 9×13.  And then in a saucepan I mixed 6 cups – yes, 6 CUPS – of chocolate chips with 2 cans of fat free, yes FAT FREE – LOL!! – sweetened condensed milk.  I would have used the full fat if I had it, but I didn’t, so this worked and they still tasted sinfully good.  Anyway.  Dumped the thick chocolatey sweet milkyness over the Reese’s.  And then pressed some more chopped Reese’s  in on the top for good measure.  Cool.  Cut.  Eat.  Crazy good.

You’re welcome 🙂

You have made me hungry! The fudge sounds delightful and I can see why you need 6 cups of chocolate chips…yummy!
