TGIF!
With a day off in the middle of the week, this week has flown by for me.  And today is going to be a winner.  Busy busy day at work so I won’t be able to leave early, but the husband and kids will leave at noon to head up to go camping, and I will drive up there after work this evening.  We haven’t been camping in like 6 weeks or something, and I am so ready for sleeping in the trailer, silly stories, s’mores, and a whole lot of bike riding.

This is one of those cards that started to go south on me as I was creating it.  My creative process is choosing the patterned paper, and nothing else.  It all comes together as I am sitting at my craft table.  I don’t know if it’s going to be a birthday card, or an anniversary card, or a just because card (like this one turned out to be), until I am done.  But sometimes it doesn’t come together easily.  Especially when I am working with a big image – like this bicycle sticker – once I laid that down, I struggled with where to put a sentiment.  I remember at one point almost throwing this card away, but then I would have wasted the bicycle sticker.  So I went with a little scalloped chipboard on the side, and the little words, and some washi, and a little stitchy.  And I liked it.  And it was published in the March issue of CARDs magazine – bonus!

Cheers – the weekend is here!
