I am a summer hater and a fall lover, so I am totally happy to welcome September. It’s been cool in the mornings – even having to turn on the defroster and heat on the way to the bus stop. And I love it.
Today I’m sharing a fun little project that I made to go up in my daughter’s room. We’ve been doing a lot of home improvements over the last 4 months or so – painting the living room, dining room, kitchen, and hallway. We painted my son’s room last weekend. We bought the kids new beds. Next on the list: my daughter’s room. We’ll paint it too, but I also want to have a wall that’s kind of collagey with framed prints and other bits that make sense, and that are uniquely her.

There’s also a cutting file to make the bow like I did.
We painted our living room, dining room, and kitchen yellow. And it’s been wreaking havoc on the pictures these days – LOL Need to figure out a better way or place to photograph my cards and such. I have a light tent, but I don’t really like that either.
I bought a bunch of this fabric when we went to Mexico a few years ago. I love using it for these embroidery hoop projects.
I made this just like I would a card – layer, layer, and layer some more.
And finish off with some gold foil punches for confetti.
