Personalized Framed Watercolor Art.

We’ve been doing a lot of cheap and easy home improvement and home beautifying projects lately and one of the things I want to do in my daughter’s bedroom is to create a wall collage of different wall art, little mirrors, ceramic pieces, whatever I can mix and match together for something really cool and suited to her.  Today I’m sharing a little framed watercolor piece that I made for her.  I started with a piece of 110 lb. cardstock, Broadside Alpha stencils and Celebrate Shapes stencils from Hazel & Ruby, and a basic watercolor palette.

I laid out my stencils where I wanted them to go.

And then I began to paint.
As I mentioned in a previous watercoloring post, I don’t really know anything about watercoloring other than to swoosh back and forth.

I allowed my paint to dry completely.

And then I removed my stencils.

I outlined my stencil areas with a black Sharpie to make it pop.
I bought a cheapie frame from the dollar store, and painted it gold using some Metallic Gold spray paint from Krylon.
