7 GOALS FOR 2019 – WEEK 2 OF 52

So let’s get right to it, shall we?
1 – Lose 100 pounds. Oof. Not a good week. I barely lost another pound. My dailies were pretty good. But we have too many desserty sort of things at home left from the holidays and I know about them. I think about them. My husband calls it “doing clean-up.” Yeah. I have this thing in me that says that I need to finish them off so that I get rid of the temptation. So finish them off, I did! The upside to the week though is that I did well at my Sunday job – only eating the food that I brought and not hitting the vending machine. Only 96.5 pounds to go!
2 – Read 4 books. I started reading Jillian Michaels’ Winning by Losing. I found an hour that I can read every other week. I almost got halfway through the book. I can’t say that I’m enjoying it though. She brags a lot about her success as a coach on The Biggest Loser and it gets to be a bit nauseating. I’m not really getting anything out of the book or learning anything new. But I am going to finish it because a girl’s got goals!
3 – Canning. Nothing to report here.
4 – Bake a pie from scratch. Nothing to report here.
5 – Save $1000 cash. I picked up some hours at my Sunday job over the holidays and netted $140. I gave myself $35, put $35 towards my $1000 goal, and then gave the other $70 to the house. Only $915 to go!
6 – Self-care. I worked on some more Valentine’s cards Saturday morning. I made myself a giant cup of coffee, and put on the Frank Sinatra station. I have been working only with crafty supplies that I have on-hand because I just have too many things that I have bought or have been given as gifts, and they go unused. This week I used some little matryoshka cards that I had and stamped them with a Valentine sentiment. I also sent out 3 (not Valentine) cards – sending real mail makes me feel good.
I trashed my knee at the end of November and just started getting Synvisc injections. This week was the last of the 3. They say I should feel better 2 weeks after the last one. Here’s hoping, because I have been in pain + walking with a cane! for far too long now.
7 – Do something with the blog. Hi, 2 weeks in a row!
