I do!
Posted by Michelle on March 16th, 2011 . Filed under: American Crafts, Cards, Melissa Frances, Prima, The Girls' Paperie, Wedding .I love making wedding cards. And I love going to weddings….and crying; so fun! Too bad I don’t know anyone getting married. Just like having babies. I think at the age that I am almost everyone that I know is done getting married and having babies. So I guess I have to wait some years for all the kids to grow up. But when they do – I’m all set!
This is one of my most favorite cards ever. I love all the pieces independently and then the way they all come together. I am struggling with Papertrey Ink’s Fine Linen colored cardstock. I loved it when it first came out, but I find it difficult to match. So I was happy that I could work it in to match that light mocha strip in this American Crafts patterned paper, both which I think go great with these fun chipboard letters from The Girls’ Paperie – whose new goodness should be at the stores any day now and I can’t be more excited. But see – who needs stamps to make a card? Not me! – LOL

This is gorgeous! That flower is perfect with that ribbon. I don’t make wedding stuff often and I don’t make baby stuff either. The majority of my friends had kids years before I did and I didn’t make cards then anyway. I was lucky I could buy a baby gift–I was so clueless about baby stuff. When my sister had her 3rd baby, I went to Target to get him an outfit and was so ignornat about baby stuff that I just grabbed a size that looked like it would fit him. It was a 12 mo’s and he was a newborn. LOL I didn’t have the sense to look at the tag. So when I got pregnant, I bought books and studied. LOL

Stunning – like you I love all the elements and the way they came together, especially the blue/red and that yummy flower.

LOVE this card! So many interesting elements that all work so well together! I am also a huge fan of weddings and, believe it or not, have not been to a single wedding since my own- 7 years ago! My cousin is getting married next month and I am SOOOO excited for the wedding. Hubby thinks I’ve lost it…. lol.
