Vacation memory book (2).
Posted by Michelle on April 25th, 2011 . Filed under: Gift Packaging, It's in the Bag!, Prima, The Girls' Paperie .I’m back today with the lil’ coaster memory book that I made for my daughter and will give it to her when we get home from our cruise.
This was actually the first one I made, so it’s a little more…hmmm….how shall I say, reserved maybe? I was learning and trying hard when I made this one – the second one was a breeze and a lot more fun.
I covered the coasters front and back with patterned papers from Prima’s Road Trip collection and then I swooshed over the edges with some white acrylic paint.
And then I alternated with glassine bags from my shoppe to house little memories from the trip.
I used chipboard pieces from the Road Trip collection as well, and left little spots here and there where she could write down a few words about what she saw and did.
I used Prima pom poms on several pages, and I also added a strip of fun stitching to the glassine bags. Looks like I’ve got an equal amount of American Crafts chipboard in here too.
More journaling spots and alphabet letters from The Girls’ Paperie – from a Christmas pack by the way 😉
A lil’ Mickey Mouse button on the back of the book.
All packaged up and ready for gift giving when we get home.
Prima patterned papers, chipboard, flower and pearlies.

Love it! We have booked a Disney Cruise for next May (on the Fantasy!) and this would be a great little gift to make for our Exchange Student and her Mom who will be joining us!

What a wonderful gift for your daughter to help extend the vacation for a little while longer and keep the memories forever. It is definitely a change going from Disney fantasy to the real world.

love it…contemporary and fun and I love that it’s against all the traditional Disney stuff.
