Happy Father’s Day.
Posted by Michelle on June 13th, 2011 . Filed under: Cards, Father's Day, October Afternoon, Papertrey Ink .Happy Monday, boys and girls! OK, who am I kidding, there are no boys here. Whatever – LOL So yeah, about the strawberry jam. It’s not so much jammy. Now, I used this recipe from Ina Garten and while it’s definitely a strawberry jam, it’s not quite the kind that we get in the jar at the supermarket. It wasn’t very, you know, like stiff, like jellied or whatever. It’s very spreadable and will be good on toast just the same, but also would be yum heated up on some vanilla ice cream. Seems like it took way longer to cook. But it’s yum, so it’s all good. My flat of strawberries was way more than what I envisioned, so I also made a strawberry peach salsa on the fly which was so yum. Good stuff.
So let’s see, for today and the next couple of days I’ve got some Father’s Day cards to share with you.
Today’s card is all October Afternoon…with a Papertrey Ink die and stamp. I really love square cards…so impractical, but I {heart} them just the same.

Very, very cute card. Love the dad with the paper. Too bad my dad’s not still alive… would’ve been perfect for him. My brother and I used to come up and slap the middle of his newspaper to get his attention. Good thing he was a sweet-tempered guy! 🙂 Anyway, love how you layered the patterned papers, too. Fun card!
