Adventures in Couponing.
Posted by Michelle on October 6th, 2013 . Filed under: Couponing .Alright, up first is this month’s free groceries from Amazon. Totally free with Swagbucks.
2 big packs of toilet paper, 12 packages of paper plates, 2 things of pepper, 2 things of bacon bits, and 2 boxes of Keebler snacks.
I’ve mentioned before that I use Swagbucks for my online searches instead of Google. And I earn points (for searches, online shopping, and using coupons) which I turn in for $5 Amazon gift cards. And then I use those to buy groceries from Amazon using their Subscribe & Save program where you don’t have to pay any shipping and you can opt for just 1 month (which is what I do). More info on all that can be found on this post HERE.
I did some couponing at Walgreens this particular week too. I had earned a $25 gift card for transferring a prescription there. So any of the items here today that I had to pay for, I paid with that, so technically free to me 😉
The Colgate mouthwash deal was a great one. They were on sale 3 for $9. Then I had coupons for $2 off each one which made them $1 each. And then there was an in-store coupon for $3-off-3. Hello free mouthwash. The Planters were free too – 99-cents, get 99-cents back. And the socks were a 3-pack for $1.49 so I picked these up for my son. As often as he loses socks, I am not at all ashamed to buy him clearance socks from Walgreens – ha!
Herbal Essences products were on sale 2 for $5. I had coupons for $3-off-2 which made them $1 each. And these Glade motion sensor spray things were regularly $8.49, on sale for $4.99, I had coupons for $3 off, which took the price down to $1.99 each, and then there was a promo for $2 back! Hello free Christmas presents for aunt Marie!
Cereal and Pop Tarts were on sale for $1.67 each. I had cereal coupons for $1 off which made it 67-cents for a box of cereal. And I had 70-cent coupons for the Pop Tarts making those 97-cents each.
