Celebrating 85 – placecards.
Posted by Michelle on May 20th, 2014 . Filed under: Birthday, Design Team Work, Imaginisce, Spring .I mentioned the other day that my husband’s aunt turned 85 recently. My mother-in-law had 4 sisters and they had this great tradition of doing themed birthdays for each other, and they would rotate who threw the party for each of them. Just a really fun thing that they did. Well over time as a couple of the sisters have passed, the daughters and daughters-in-law have gotten in on it. Because I live in Idaho and they are all in California, I never get to participate. But I wish I could! Knowing that Aunt Dibbie was turning 85, I offered to do something for the party. So I got to make the placecards.
Because her birthday is May 2nd, they had the party on May 1 and did a May Day theme with flowers and baskets.
Imaginisce’s new Little Princess collection has a sheet with great pink and purple and teal flowers on it that was just perfect for what I was trying to create. I paired that with a pretty white and pink polka dot sheet from that same collection.
Because I couldn’t be there, they were kind enough to send me pictures of the party – and my placecards.
It looks delightful!
