It’s Fat Tuesday!

So what am I? – the booger-eatin’ 4-eyed fat kid that eats lunch by herself or something?
(that’s only partially true, you know…)
It was my 100th blog post, big party – and only 3 people came; sad. 🙁
I’m whooped. Monday was rough. D stayed with my mother because he still had the stomach flu. Rob’s down 23 pounds, I’m down 38 pounds – that’s 61 pounds combined in 7 weeks which is not too shabby. I’ve lost weight before so he knows what I look like with 100+ pounds less on me though I can’t imagine what he’d look like if he lost 100 pounds. Weird.
My new Papertrey Ink order came yesterday and even though I was so tired, I made a couple of cards. I pirated something I saw on Dawn McVey’s blog to make these cards. They are both the same format, just different.
This second card, my friend Vicki (the invalid) is celebrating her 35th wedding anniversary in a couple of weeks and asked how much I would charge her to make a card for her to give to her husband. I was so flattered – and I couldn’t see myself charging a dear friend. Someone asked for one of MY cards! I felt like I was good or something. All she said was that he was in the Navy when they met. So I went with this Men of Life DP from Papertrey that I have never used and put this together for her. I actually LOVE it and I think she will too. The only thing I don’t like about it is that I stamped a 3 and a 5 and “Happy Anniversary” on the inside but I don’t care for the way it came out. But as I’m sitting here writing this it just dawned on me that I can re-do it on a separate piece of CS and cover it up and have it look like the layer was meant to be 😉
Alright girls – eat up…only 24 hours left until the beginning of Lent. I haven’t decided yet what I am giving up – but I’m leaning towards M A J O R sacrifice this year (no, not cardmaking…and not food….but close….you’ll find out tomorrow!).

You did a super job n the DH card! As for lent…I am Baptist, so I don’t give up anything…but am curious lets see, I will guess you are going to give up…UM…SHOPPING? lol…rotf!!!

I love your PT cards. Those flowers are beautiful and the color you used is FABULOUS!

Congrats on your 100th blog post! As you know from e-mail, I'm really sick so I e-mailed yesterday but barely went online.
You & Rob are both doing great on your weight loss, I'm so happy for you both!

Those cards are great and I'm sure Vickie and her hubby will love their original Michelle anniversary card!

I can’t believe it’s Lent already. I have no idea what I’m going to give up, esp. because I don’t do anything since I moved. I may have to decide to do something “more” this Lenten season.
Congrats to you and Rob! You’re both doing such a great job.

I LOVE the anniversary card. Too cute! Glad to see you using DP that you have around not knowing what to do with, and now you do! So awesome. 🙂
