Loving New Leaf!
Posted by Michelle on June 20th, 2009 . Filed under: Uncategorized .(this is for you Rebecca *wink*)
I bought the New Leaf paper from Papertrey Ink what was that, 2 releases ago, I think? Anyway, I bought it, got it home and it was the first paper I’ve ordered from PTI that I didn’t jump in and start creating with. It really intimidated me. It’s BRIGHT. And it sure is green. So I just panicked and put it in my paper box. But then I saw this cherry paper in my stash and I thought it would look FAB-OO-LUSS with the New Leaf.
And can I just tell you right now – I freakin’ LOVE this card!!
I had such a fun time with it – the stitching, the border punching, cutting out the cherries – just a lot of fun lil’ elements that made me sooo happy and even happier to see the finished product. I gave this card to my hairdresser along with some other ones I’ve made lately and now I wish I had it back *sniffles*
Got the house to myself until afternoon – woooooooooooooo!!
Laundry and cards – love it!
Have a super Saturday – thanks for stopping in!

Your stitching is fabulous…wow! And thanks for showing a card with New Leaf when I knew for sure that was the color. I love the cut out cherries, too. Enjoy your afternoon all alone with cards and laundry!

Been browsing….Love the Hanna Montana guitar…very cool…Your daughter looks so much like you!
Your son's creation and how you put it into a card is a credit to you! Remember that painting…Blue Poles…or Holes or something….worth millions and all they did was splash paint…..you might have a budding artist in your midst!
Hope you enjoyed your afternoon to yourself

Truly, this is one great card! All the elements combine so well. The bit of gingham reminds me of an old cookbook cover, the cherries just want to jump in my mouth, they look so good.
Great show of talent.
