Some enchanted evening….
Posted by Michelle on September 27th, 2009 . Filed under: Uncategorized .….that’s the only part of that song I know. I’m humming a song that I don’t know…odd. Anyway – – both of my cards today feature Enchanted Evening cardstock hence the name of today’s post.
Today starts a new challenge over at the Studio G Collector’s group on PCP. It’s a sketch challenge this week and a sketch that I didn’t particularly care for….but, um, I kinda made the sketch so I can’t really complain – LOL I’m tired of making Halloween cards, so I went back a few series’ with my Studio G on this card. I also used an Adirondack paint dabber on the background which I’m not sure if I like or hate.
This second card is a custom order. I feel so well-well-well saying that. So many people sell their cards and get orders for them – – I don’t. No one orders my cards. And when I tried to sell them on ETSY, I only had 1 sale. But as I was showing off my CARDS magazine at the office the other day – the one with me in it *wink* – one of my reps asked if I’d make a card for his daughter’s birthday next week. All I had to work with was that she’s 15 and likes her school colors of New Leaf and Enchanted Evening – ha. So this is what I came up with. I am both excited and nervous to show it to him tomorrow.
Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

I think your cards are great, and you should keep your Etsy shop open. More and more people are shopping for cards there. And how you repurposed the Prima packaging is sheer genius. I wish you happy continued creativity.

Hey Michelle. I should have taken a pic of the swag bag. It was mostly ads and coupons, but we got a bottle of Glowelle, which is really nasty tasting nutritional beauty drink. It's very expensive, otherwise I would buy it. We also got some sort of other vitamin water. And a VW hat. So nothing too exciting.
And there will be no Disney pics from yesterday. We went to a passholder screening of the new Tinkerbell movie, and the Disney people were really adamant about no cameras in the theatre. Since there was no place to leave it, I decided just to leave mine at home. And I was apparently the only rule follower there, because everyone was taking pictures. I was bummed because one of the actors from the movie was there and I would have taken his picture. But the park looked really pretty with the Halloween decorations!!!

Both cards turned out great. Don't stress about the custom card. The one you made me for a baby shower turned out perfect and it was a huge hit.
