Happy savings day!  Had a super super busy couponing week this week.  So much so that I had to separate it out between 2 blog posts.  So today we’ll show you Albertsons and Walgreens.  And next week we’ll check out the damage we did at the Walmart.

Alright…so double coupons this week.  And Albertsons had a buy 10 items get x off promo to go with the doublers scenario which made for additional savings.  These Quaker bars were 38-cents, and the Propel was 50-cents which is not a great deal, but I needed it in the equation to buy down the price on other items, 10-cents for Michelina’s entrees for my husband’s lunch, and the Thai noodle soups were 9-cents each.

Free pretzels.  My son loves these, and I let him eat them whenever he wants.  He has a bag in the back seat of both cars, and he walks around at my daughter’s soccer games carting a bag around too.  Pretty funny.  But no mess, and not terribly bad for you either.  40-cents for the bread & butter pickles which I love on barbecue burgers when we take the trailer out, and 50-cents for the chips.

Ore-Ida Easy Fries were a great deal – no coupons necessary.  Buy 4 at $1 each and get $3 back = 25-cents each.  So I ordered 20 boxes beforehand.  The kids come home from school and have a box while my husband is working on dinner.  Not sure about your kids, but my kids are always starrrrrving.

And then there was Walgreens.  So many freebies this week to roll (that means that you get RR$ back from one item that you use to pay for the next item and you never have to use your own money! and you do this over and over and over…) – I went to 5 different Walgreens’ twice.  Poligrip (perfect timing as my uncle just got dentures last week!) was $1.99 get $1.99 back = free.  Melatonin (for my son who can’t stay asleep all night) was $4 get $4 back.  Belvita breakfast cookies were free after coupon and RR back.  Burt’s Bees cough drops were $2 get $2 back.  33-cent seeds for gardening and 8-cent Valentine pencils were my filler items.

I had $2 coupons from hosting a Glade House Party which netted me these for free.  The On the Go vitamin drinks were $8 get $8 back – I’m sending these all to my uncle Joe who is going through chemo right now for liver and lung cancer :(.  And this probiotic stuff was $10 get $10 back but I had $3 coupons which made this a $3 moneymaker (I paid $7 and got $10 back ;)).  Cordial cherries were my filler items here – 34-cents each.

More of the same…  the Niveas were free after coupon and Register Reward back.  Little caramels were my filler items.  4 probiotics here means I made $12 😉

Clearance Valentine candy for filler items.  We are having a big birthday party for the kids this summer and the theme is going to call for candy all over the place, so conversation hearts on the cheap were a great find.  Usually you have to pay for the filler items (you have to have more items than coupons and Register Rewards in a transaction) but this week because I ended up making $15 on the probiotic stuff, I got all the Walgreens stuff you see here today for free plus I made about $3 on top of that, and I have $19.50 in RRs to use this week!
