Go Fly a Kite – day 1.

Hi, Girls!

Today, tomorrow and Friday I’ll be sharing cards made with patterned papers from October Afternoon. The fine folks over at OA gave us Clip it Up! girls some of their new Fly a Kite papers and I just could not stop creating with this charming collection of papers.

All the OA cards I made are on a base of Rustic Cream which I think goes perfectly with October Afternoon’s country-French feel. On my first card I’ve got a couple of Jenni Bowlin embellished butterflies, some Maya Road trinket pins, some fun stitching, ribbon & ink are Enchanted Evening and my sentiment is from Asian Fusion.

This card is a fun little birthday card with a Martha felt embellie, some pretty Berry Sorbet ribbon and a Hero Arts sentiment. I tried to do a little bit of that distressing thing with the Vintage Touch Tea Dye from Papertrey Ink – I need a little more practice on this, but I do like it.

And just some updates: my cousin’s kid’s golf course project. I did not think to take a picture until he and it were long gone from the house. My husband did most of the work – green carpet from the garage and a bunch of other stuff – final grade: A! And the St. Patrick’s Day dinner party (Happy St. Patrick’s Day by the way) – my aunt was not mad at all which was surprising…..and everyone LOVED the green trifle – score!

Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!

Why do you make it look so easy to get the patterned paper on there and it looks awesome? Why can't I do that? Anyway, I love these both. Those butterflies are super cool. And I'm glad for an A on the golf project! Sweet!
