Adventures in Couponing.

Welcome back to another one of my Sunday couponing posts.  This particular day was a busy one, as we had gotten back from camping at about 1 in the afternoon, so I divided up the coupons/lists and the 4 of us went down to Albertsons and then Walmart and got it all knocked out with a quickness. (Much like we’ll have to be doing today getting in to town late after being gone camping again this weekend).

Albertsons is up first.  I was low on cereal (less than 50 boxes) so I’ve had to start watching for the cereal deals again.  I got about 10 boxes a couple of weeks ago, and then got another 10 here.  So now we’re back up to 70ish.  I feel more comfortable at about 100 boxes of cereal in the stockpile.  Anyway, these were part of a promo where you bought 5 and it made them $1.88 each.  I had coupons which I doubled and got these for 68-cents a box.  Great deal.  But the better deal here was the meat and the soy sauce.  Soy sauce was $1.19 each.  I had coupons for $1-off-2 – which I doubled.  That made it 76-cents for 4 bottles.  And then! a $2 Catalina printed out making this a $1.24 moneymaker.  On top of that I had coupons for $2 off beef when you buy 3 soy sauces.  So I had that $2 plus the $1.24 extra and was able to get 7 packages of beef and 27 bottles of soy sauce for FREE – score!

Free ice cream cones, free baby food (for bartering with), free Wasa crackers, and 98-cent Oreos.

Free Gain dishwashing liquid, free flyswatter, 77-cent Soft Scrub, $1.97 toilet paper and Gold Bond foot powder, free pads for the donation box, free White Cloud tissues, free plums, and free Sally Hansen nail stuff.  Like how I have the plums right next to the toilet paper?  *giggles*

More totally free Curad products.  I have a zillion of these coupons, and they don’t expire until December (of 2013!), so I am buying in moderation so as not to clear the shelves.  But we’re gonna have a lot of them to donate to the school for sure.

And check this out.
My husband was tooling around the neighborhood on Friday and found this on someone’s driveway.  So now we have a new (to us) treadmill.
