Adventures in Couponing.

This week was kind of weak.  We’re in a dry spell for double coupons, so we didn’t get a million things this week.  Sad.  My crave to save is jonesin’ for sure.

So first up we’ve got some Albertsons store brand items that I bought using coupons from their summer coupon book.  There was a $1 off their ice cream cones, and this week they were on sale for $1.09.  So I got a case + for 9-cents each.  The pasta was free with a $1 off their store brand coupon, the croutons were 59-cents, and the bag of puffed wheat I won from their summer game promo.

Free Emerald Breakfast on the Gos and free Jingos crackers after coupons, doublers, and Catalina money back which I was able to double as well.  19-cent canned beans and potatoes (stocking up for winter soups and stews) again with the $1 off their store brand coupon; the tuna was 29-cents with the same coupon.

This was the week of the pads.  I love getting these free as they are a great donation item.  A $2 coupon came out in the paper and pads were on sale everywhere.  This was a great deal at Albertsons because the pads were on sale buy 2, get 1 and then there was an auto $5-off when you spend over $20, and then I had $2 coupons for all 10 packs.  This created a little less than $2 in overage so I got some paper plates that were $1 each and only had to pay about $1.50 for everything.  The Kiss My Face bars were $2.97 at Fred Meyer and I had some $3-off coupons that I got from their Facebook page = more free.

What a lame cheese shot.  Tillamook cheese is about $10 for a 2# block.  They were on sale for $4.99, doubled $1 and they were $2.99.  And then that Western Family cheese was on sale at Rosauer’s for $2.99, used a $1-off coupon there and got those 2-pounders for $1.99.  My kids love cheese.  And they love making jokes about cutting the cheese too.  *eye roll*

See – more pads.  $1.99 on sale at Walgreens, I had $2-off coupons.  All free.

I never find it boring! Love seeing all the deal. Although why is it the good brands of tampons/pads never go on sale??? You asked about my faucet install. I blogged it, its on the blog today. 🙂
