Red, white and blue.
Posted by Michelle on May 31st, 2010 . Filed under: Uncategorized .It’s the Memorial Day holiday here in the US so I’ve got a couple of patriotic cards to share with you – that I made a longgggg time ago.
I’m keepin’ it short and sweet today. That was the short, and now for the sweet. I made the most amazing Buttermilk Fruit Salad on Saturday. I don’t cook, but around holidays, I feel the need to be domestic. Anyway – have a look at the recipe – it’s Becca’s grandmamma’s recipe. And it’s DIVINE. A big hit with the fam this weekend – so much so, I made another batch.
Enjoy the holiday!

Happy Memorial Day! These are both darling cards–and red, white, and blue is one of my favorite color combinations.

Great way to show off our country's colors.

Your ribbon flag is awesome–so are the fireworks on the 2nd card! Both cards are very cool.
I'm in my "farm woman" stage right now and feel the urge to plant a garden (I actually hate gardening in real life) and can/preserve things. I made a big batch of strawberry jam recently and want to preserve other things. I don't know what the heck is wrong with me. I was even saying how cool it would be to have chickens! LOL I'm southern but grew up in the city. Since hubby moved us to a rural area I've been slowly converting. Hubby wants to move to the central coast of California one day and I said, "Yeah, we'd be like the Beverly Hillbillies moving to californy." LOL I'll shut up now, have a good evening!

How clever to wrap the red ribbon around the white cs. Love it! These are both fab, Michelle! Ok, I guess I'll have to check out the recipe. I am soooo not a cook:)

That top flag card is too cool!!! I love it and plan to let my kiddos do a simplified version one of these days for a summer project. I'm so glad you liked the salad!!! Makes me happy to know I can share a recipe and have someone else actually enjoy it as much as we do 😉

I love both cards. The sailboat – what paper or technique did you use for this? It is adorable, and I love the glimmering water effect with the papers (the white throughout).
