Happy New Year!

Good Morning, Girls – and Happy New Year to you all!

Our New Year’s Eve was nice – odd being kidless. We went to Ruby River – a steakhouse – had a reservation for 6 o’clock but since we are fat people and specified our customary “table, not a booth” when we got there, we didn’t get seated ’til 6:30; the movie started at 7:40! So we rushed through our meal, they actually needed the other half of the 2 tables that made our 1 table and that had us looking like a big fat island unto ourselves in the middle of the restaurant but the manager gave us free dessert to compensate for taking our table? If we were skinny and didn’t look ridiculous, I’m sure he wouldn’t have. But fat people like dessert – and free dessert, even better – heh. We saw Four Christmases which was good and cute, but not super good and not worth $9.50 a ticket. Definitely a $1 RedBox rental. Since we had to get our free dessert to go, we came home and ate that and I went to bed about 10:30 – sucks getting old; Rob stayed up to watch the ball drop. The kids and my mother called at midnight though – those little rascals stayed up!

This morning we are heading to Dillard’s – opens at 8 – for 75% off clearance that starts today. Be nice to me because your cheap-o Christmas present will most likely be purchased today – LOL And then we’re going to Michael’s – Rob doesn’t know that part yet – because I have (2) 50% off coupons and I’m going to have him use one and I’ll use one. Then I need to work on my Christmas thank-you cards – had the kids do theirs, but I haven’t started mine…been too busy making cards to write cards…oops.

All the best to you – my friends – in the new year!

Happy New Year’s to you guys.

Glad to hear that your night out wasn’t a total bust. Free dessert is awesome!

I find it hard to pay full price for any movie anymore. It’s $15.00 for us to go to a movie. So we always go to the matinee for $6.00.

    Have fun shopping.

I will work on my thank-yous once the boys are back in school and I can take the time.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Since the date wasn’t the best, I guess it’s a good thing you’re already married. Hope you enjoyed anyway. 75% off – now that’s a sale. Happy shopping.
