Celebrate!

OK…now this card makes me mad. And I’m gonna tell you why. So much has been said lately about the quality or the issues with the new Papertrey Ink inks. And I’ve tried to stay out of the fray because often times sharing your opinion is taken as an attack *eye roll*, so, I’ve chosen to stay out of some of those discussions. However, right here in my own little piece of the www. I will tell you: the new pigment inks are awful. Just awful. The colors are off, and the quality is just not good. I get better stamping impressions from Studio G pigment inks. Anyway – I guess PTI has made the decision to discontinue all inks and are working on a new new formula with a new manufacturer, and I hope it works out – because I do love to have my matchy-matchy.

Yeah…so that. But this card I {hearted} up until I stamped the blasted sentiment on it and got that blotchy impression. Oh I was so mad! I’ve got these million-dollar Prima gemstone leaves on there and it’s ruined, ruined I say! My patterned paper is from BasicGrey. I bought the Manilla paper pack, it’s very basic, along with the coordinating cardstock stickers an I’ve had a pretty hard time using them. I think I’m lacking mojo lately.

Those leaves are gorgeous! I've had issues with several of the PTI pigment inks. Maybe they will go to a chalk ink formula.

Yep, I absolutely HATE the inks!!! I'm so bummed to have to buy all new inks too. I love those leaves, and I don't think the sentiment looks bad. When I'm going to stamp a sentiment directly on the card, I always do a practice stamp on a scrap sheet first to make sure the impression will look ok:)

I think your card is beautiful as is (even with the sentiment stamped that way). I love the quiet background and the pop of colors and bling! Come to think of it, I've never used PTI inks for stamping of any type of sentiment or stamp outline…because I don't trust that it will stamp well. But I am bummed that I will have to buy all new inks.

Well, the card does not show your mojo slacking…and even with the sentiment being a "TOOT" because of the inks, it is still a gorgeous card!

I couldn't even see the sentiment w/all that bling in my eyes. LOL The leaves and rhinestones are awesome – this cards shines!

When I started reading your post I was SO HOPING you were NOT going to say you loved them! I'm so bleepin' pi$$ed at PTI for continuing to sell those inks, and at myself for continually pushing the "i want it all" button. LOL – mostly the "i want it all" color collection but still…I feel like I was duped a little into buying them, when they knew the quality was bad. I honestly have completely stopped using them. They don't match and they are splotchy. Oh well…off my soapbox now…still love your card. I honestly didn't notice the sentiment until you said something. GORGEOUS!

So sorry to read about the botched sentiment using the ink nobody likes. Your leaves are gorgeous. May I make a suggestion? If possible, turn the leaves to the right so the green one covers the sentiment below. Then think about adding another sentiment or just leave it off. The PP is so lovely with those leaves.

I love this card. I love the colors, the bling and whoever is the lucky recipient will most likely not even notice the ink. I dont believe your mojo has gone anywhere. 🙂 It's a beauty!

I dont use PTI inks but I think you are awesome to show "bad" cards too. Really cool. That way those of us that have a limited budget know not to waste it on merchandise that is not worth it. BTW your card is very pretty and in my amateur opinion I would say go over it with a sakura glitter pen. I say you can nver have too much sparkle. Thanks again for sharing your talent.

Ugh. I can see why you would be frustrated. Especially after the million-dollar leaves are already in place. LOL!!! And maybe you feel your mojo is lacking, but I think overall that the card is awesome!
