The Perfect Saturday.

Oh man what a great day yesterday was. Although I always say – a day not working is a good day. I woke up bright and early and went grocery shopping, then came home and worked on laundry and got caught up on Top Chef (I can’t believe that hottie Jeff is gone!). Rob and the kids went to some birds of prey thing while I was home crafting allllll dayyyy long! Then in the evening I made a Mexican chicken dish to take over to my friend – the one who had surgery; I’ve been taking her and her husband dinner every Saturday night (I don’t cook, but for things like this, I will).
I made bunches of cards – starting with this Disney Princess one. Rob got me all the paper and punches and scissors they had when we went to Disneyland in December. But as I was putting this card together I thought all this Disney cardmaking stuff would be good to put in the kids’ crafting stuff. So I stopped at just this one, didn’t put too much thought in to it and moved on. I have to say though – Verve’s “Believe in Fairy tales” stamp is perfect for this!

Yes – another mailbox. I made this for a girl in one of my groups who is going through a divorce and I just thought she might enjoy a pick-me-up. Not my favorite mailbox to date – but it’s the thought that counts, right?
I made this card to go with the mailbox. I just love this sentiment from Papertrey Ink. “Nothing is worth more than this day”. How awesome is that??
I loved that sentiment so much that I used it again pairing my favorites – Raspberry Fizz and Ripe Avocado. Speaking of avocado – I bought some yesterday to make some guacamole today for the Super Bowl. Now I don’t care about the Super Bowl once my team or Rob’s team is out (which has been at week 3 the last few years) so I’m all about the commercials!

I was inspired by a card I saw on Dawn McVey’s blog. Dawn is just the cutest thing. She says things like “toodles” and she talks about her “hottie hubs” and she’s got this smile that I can feel through my monitor. All that and she’s an amazing cardmaker; she’s on the Papertrey DT. I totally pirated this card from her…
Busy day today – church then cooking little weenies and meatballs and all the usual football fare. Gonna be a lot of protein and veggies to ensure that I continue to be a good girl 😉
Have a GREAT Sunday, Girls!

You were a busy chica yesterday! Awesome work!!!

Same here, since the Giants didn’t make it, we’ll watch it b/c we love football, but not faithfully b/c we don’t care about either team! I don’t even care who wins. LOL!

Glad you had a better day yesterday!

The cards are cute and whoever recieves them will be happy I’m sure.

Enjoy the football game I’m sure we will be watching it too. For the commercials of course lol!

Jeff reminded me of Don Johnson in the Miami Vice days. I was just glad Carla didn’t have to pack her knives and go. She’s such a kook; I love her!

    Love the Disney card!

Enjoy the football fare – that’s my plan, too.

I love the detail your cards have…maybe that is what happens when you don’t color images! 🙂
