Adventures in Couponing.

I’m totally fallin’ down on the job. I’ve got my family on-board coming with me to coupon, and then we get home and get the pictures taken and the groceries put away. But when it’s time to take the photos off the camera, edit them, and blog, I’m the hold-up. So….today I’m sharing my couponing take from not last week but the week before. I know…I know…. And the worst part is that I had actually written down all my prices and my savings and I have no idea where that is now. I do recall that this was a 93% savings, so that part is good 😉
There are Albertsons doublers in the newspaper today, and me with my bum leg can’t go, so I’m gonna try and map out a little easy couponing trip for the husband to do; we’ll see how that goes – LOL

Garnier products were regularly….$4 or $5, I think….on sale 2/$5…I had coupons for $1-off which I doubled and got these for 50-cents each. Carefree products were regularly priced at $1.99, doubled $1 and they were free. Temptations cat treats were on sale for $1.49, doubled $1 and they were free. Oral B toothbrushes were on sale for $2 and I had $2-off coupons from the newspaper = free again.

The Gulden’s mustard was on sale for 88-cents, I had coupons for 35-cents off which I doubled making them 18-cents each. Not sure on the fruit cocktail….it wasn’t super cheap, but lower than a sale price. The Frank’s hot sauce was $1.49, doubled 75-cents and got it free. The Weber packets were $1, there were coupons in the paper that showed the bottle seasonings but said “off any Weber seasoning” so these were all free without doublers. The tuna was $1.49, doubled 75-cents and it was free. And the Hey Kool Aid! ended up being 5-cents a pack with coupons and doublers (great for making summer popsicles).

I got rainchecks for the Emerald To Go things when they were $1.99 and sold out all over town a few weeks back. Used that and paired with $1-off and got these for free. Zone bars were on sale for $1, doubled 55-cents and got those free too.

Ken’s salad dressing was on sale 3/$5 which is $1.67 each. I doubled $1-off coupons and these were free.

And then the Snyder’s pretzels were on sale for $2.19, I doubled $1-off coupons and got (22) bags for 19-cents each.

And then remember the $3-off at Staples I told you about? I totally botched this one. So I was all excited printing it out, making several trips every day, me and the fam, stocking up on all sorts of fun free stuff. And it wasn’t until the last day that my husband pointed out the deal on toilet paper. The toilet paper – which I am brand loyal to – was $5.99. Take off $3 and it’s $2.99 each! That’s the best deal on this toilet paper that I have ever seen. So bummed I was on my last coupon. But everything else was free, so that’s cool 🙂

What a bummer about the toilet paper! Your brand and everything. Nice haul, though! Lots of fun stuff from Staples!

GAH! You did it again! Never mind the toilet paper (ah, but that is important, huh, lol!), all the free stuff! You never cease to amaze me.
