Glitz sneakie peekie + update on me.

Just popping in real quick to share something that was in my inbox today: the new Glitz Design collections releasing at Summer CHA. Gosh I love vintage. And that blue and yellow takes me back to my childhood – born in 1970 and yes, I am OK saying it 😉
As for the rest of me, I am in bad shape. The surgery went longer than anticipated, and recovery has not been a cakewalk. I was on the phone with the surgeon at 1am last night as I sobbed uncontrollably from the pain. Good thing in all this: you ever notice that when you are down or in need of comfort of any kind, that is when you find out who your real friends are? I needed someone to go to my Doctor’s office and get the new prescription and then take it to Walgreen’s so that Rob could pick it up on his lunch time. A not-so-close friend came through for me and that really touched me. Touched me so much that it had me re-evaluating a friendship lost – a different friend – to the point of me reaching out to that person. It could be the drugs that has me all mushy, but that’s OK if in the end a friendship is created anew.

Yow, I was drooling all over the photos of those vintage goodies. Then I read your post. Ack, so sorry to hear that things didn’t go well with your knee and of the pain. I hope the new meds are helping and you’re able to rest comfortably. and let your family take care of you now!

Ohh….. those papers are gorgeous. Reminds me of some vintage wallpaper. Can’t wait to see the goodies that you will create.
So sorry to hear of your painful knee surgery, Michelle. Hope you can find some relief soon. Take care.

Oh, Michelle, I’m so sorry you’ve been having PAIN. Did the new prescription help any? Even though we’ve never met, I like to think of us as friends–wish I could come over, sit down (gently) next to you . . . and whack you on the head real hard so that you could forget about knee pain, even just for a minute! (Did that sound funnier in my head?) Seriously, I’m glad to hear that friends are stepping up and giving you a needed hand, and I will continue to keep you in my prayers, sweetie!

Michelle sorry to hear about your post op issues! I hope the pain is improving and you are on the mend soon! The papers and embellishments are wonderful!

loving the Glitz for sure…but I know from experience that “sometimes” the people you think are gonna be the ones to stop, drop & roll when you need them for an emergency or something important are usually the ones that half-step….I’ve had to consider some of the same things myself over the last year…they resolve themselves but that little voice in the back of your head sometimes wonders 🙂 Hope your pain is getting to be more manageable.
