Adventures in Couponing.

Got a pretty good week to share with you, so let’s get to it!
First we’ll start off with Michael’s.  Did you get the $5-off-$5 coupon?  And did you see that it said 1 coupon per person, per day?  I printed out 5.  I went at lunch on Friday, and then Saturday the 4 of us went down there.  The kids got toys and stationary, I picked up Valentine gifts for them and some baking supplies, and dad picked up the jump ropes for their Valentine buckets.  All this – on the free.  I like.

Next up is Walmart where it gets mondo good.  So the Tena company put out a coupon for $7 off any Tena product.  Price on the small packs was $2.86.  Price on the large packs was $5.24.  Walmart gives overage going towards the rest of your order.  So I got all these free plus $47.82 going towards the rest of my order.  Yes, I MADE forty-seven dollars and eighty-two cents at the Walmart!!

So, having that much overage, I took this opportunity to buy things that I had coupons for which could not be doubled (can’t double coupons over $1), got my daughter some scrunchies for almost $11 which I would have never paid that much for but I considered this bonus money, and too I did get some things that I did NOT have coupons for.  I did have $2 coupons on the Welch’s drinks and got those for 98-cents each…and $1 off each of the Snapples (which I did double matching the Kmart ad of doubling 5 coupons on Wednesdays and Saturdays)….the rest here was full price (supplies for our Super Bowl party)…..

….all this was full price; we were in desperate need of ketchup, and more things for our Super Bowl party.

I did have coupons on everything in this shot.  The Weight Watchers cream cheese was free, the Sambazon drinks were 68-cents, milks were $1.50, and I got $2 off each of the cheeses.

At the end of this Walmart trip, I bought $141.63 in product, and paid a total of $16.13.
That’s a 94% savings which at Walmart’s already low prices, is huge in my book.

Usually after I have my big couponing trip for the week, I’ll find a coupon sitting on my desk, laying on the floor of the car, in my purse, wherever.  So I stopped in on the way to work one morning and picked up a few last things.  Free Duck tape, free floss, and moneymaking Asian seasonings.  I made 44-cents on those which I applied to the little heart candy molds which were already on clearance, so I got those for $1.44.

I went to Walgreens this week too (missed the previous week because my little couponing buddy was sick and she begged me not to go to Walgreens without her) and got some free there.  I started with a $5 Register Reward from a previous visit and used that to pay for my transactions.  The St. Joseph’s, the energy strips, and the naughty gel were all buy the product and get that money back in a RR.  So all free.  The BSU chips were on clearance for $1.  And the Biotene gum was buy 1 get 1 half off, and I had coupons for $2.50 off (2) so all those cost me $2.79 total.  So I started with $5, bought $6.79 worth of stuff, so I paid $1.79 for everything – – and have $6 RRs to spend next week!
