Alright, so here’s the thing. Remember all that I was saying the other day about Zva bling? Well I have decided that I am done with it. I don’t want to bash it, but I’ve used it enough – on cards you have seen and some you haven’t (yet) – but I’m done. Thing is – my husband bought me some for Christmas – LOL I did ask for it – but that was before I knew what I know now.
So anywho – I made him this card for Valentine’s Day. I normally wouldn’t have bling like this on a card for a male, however, I felt like I should use it since he gave it to me.
The more I got to looking at this card, the more I hated it. The bling just was not working for me. So – I tore it off. LOL – told you it doesn’t stick well! So I cut out some words from my American Crafts coordinating patterned paper to match the background, added a Zva arrow (much better luck but still not over the moon for this product) and called it good. And you see the line that says “I heart you hubby” – that’s the title of that paper and it’s right off the edge, so I used it and made this a no-stamping card – heh.
Alright – now I’ve got to get rid of my Zva bling before I keep running my mouth about it. Does anyone want it? I’ve got a big black swirl pack, a 1/2 used dark fuschia big swirl pack, a small silver swirl pack and a 1/2 used small silver swirl pack – – and 2 BasicGrey Bling It Ons. You are funny. I actually liked your first card, tho I will admit I liked the redo even more. The arrow is a nice touch for a guy card, even tho it was the bling. TFS

LOL I actually liked your first card too! That bling looks cool! I am glad to hear some reviews on it though. It's expensive and if it doesn't stick, I won't waste my money on them 😉

LOL, but I liked the blinged out card, too! 🙂 It's funny how just making a small change can really make a card seem so different!
The redo is awesome! I love the little sentiment strips, and that huge sparkly arrow is just fantastic!

Ok you crack me up, but what I love most about your blog posts is that I feel like I'm inside your head. I can follow your train of thoughts, and it's always such fun! Lol! Like I said before, I haven't tried Zva myself yet, only Prima so I wanna see for myself. :-)!
I love the Flair on the card, and the bold stripes are a masculine touch, IMO. Love your card and how it turned out. I need to get something crackin for my dear hubs. 🙂 Gotta make it special, he certainly deserves it!

I really like the second card. Sometimes it is better to switch things up when you are not happy. Love the colors! And that little couple kissing is too cute.

I love your second card. I bought a bunch of AC paper and I never thought to use the pull off label at the bottom of them, like you did. Thanks for the idea. Mari

If at first you don't succeed (or are just not happy w/it) – change it. Thanks for sharing the before and after. Love the striped paper.
