Today I’m sharing a card that I have in the latest issue of Paper Crafts magazine. This card was an interesting one. Now I have to be honest – I don’t submit very much to Paper Crafts because I don’t feel like my style fits their magazine. I believe my style is called “open style” which is a polite way of saying that your style is not defined. Because I can make a clean card, I can make a busy card, I can make a whimsy card, I can make a vintage card. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing as the big names in the cardmaking world have very defined styles.
But anyway, about this card. This card was nice and clean so I thought to submit it to Paper Crafts. I get the acceptance e-mail from them and it says blah blah blah you’ve been accepted for your “damask and dots thank you card (with changes)”. With changes? What? I’m like “how you gonna tell me you like my card…but to change it?!” – LOL
So that piece of Prima chipboard that says moments along the top of it. They said that the verbiage there took away from or competed with the one at the bottom and they wanted me to cover it up. So I tucked in a little piece of patterned paper, added some pearls and a butterfly, and away we go.

OOH, this is GORGEOUS!!! I LOVE it, girl! Beautiful colors and embellishments, and you did a great job wit the "changes" they requested:) Congratulations!!!

Love the changes….but I love the original too! WOW, we love it with changes, seriously! You have a defined style….I see it. Every time I look through a magazine, I recognize your cards immediately! Its YOUR style, and I personally LOVE it!

Love both of your cards! GEEZ, that's off – we love your card, but um, you need to fix it first?! I often wonder how they "select" cards for a magazine. Can't really be objective in the process, huh?

This is awesome! I love the dots with the damask print. Very classy and elegant. So many good things going on here!
