Adventures in Couponing.

Welcome welcome to another one of my Sunday coupon adventures.  I’m a little behind on posting – got busy with back to school stuff, and then gone last weekend, but I’ve got lots of great grocery deals to share.  Up today is double couponing at the Walmart.  So here we go.

$1.98 Johnsonville chorizo patties, 88-cent polska kielbasas, totally free ground chicken, 98-cent Country Crock side dishes, and 14-cent porks.  The porks were marked down to $3.14, I doubled $1 and was supposed to pay $1.14.  But she rang them up differently and took off $3.  I tried to explain, but sometimes they get mad at you and don’t want you telling them how to do their job.  Mmmmkay.

27-cent IHOP breakfasts, 93-cent Smuckers Uncrustables, 50-cent Sara Lee lunch meat, totally free baby yogurt (thought the kids would be OK with it but it has that baby rice or formula kinda taste to it and they hate it so I need to find someone to give it to), totally free flavored Country Crock margarine spreads, 88-cent Kraft cheese singles, and free seafood snacks.

18-cent Dole fruit, 98-cent Oreos, 50-cent peanut butter, and 48-cent Capri Suns.

27-cent flavored mayo, 97-cent Weight Watchers coffee cakes, and everything else was free.

8-cent Dawn, $1.97 Cascade packs, free Gerber fruit things, free LA Looks hair gel, free deodorant, 97-cent Garniers, 47-cent mechanical pencils, free tissue, free dryer sheets, and the other Aussie and Garnier I had free item coupons from their Facebook sites.

Hosted a family dinner last night – now that uncle Joe is here we are making a point to see him and get the family together more often.  The good thing about couponing and stockpiling is that you can throw a dinner party together and not have to shop for a thing.  We served the chorizo patties and the polska kielbasas from this trip along with some other sausages we had.  Made mashed potatoes that we got from gleaning – picked free after the farmers harvest.  Baked beans were on-hand from another couponing trip.  Made brownie bites from some free Ghirardelli mixes that I got from Amazon using my Swagbucks.  And made homebaked bread with ingredients from Vitacost that I got free as well.  Love it.

50 cent peanut butter? Score! I can’t believe how expensive it is now, and we always need it at church for our food pantry. I need to start couponing, obviously! But . . . Seafood Snacks? Seriously, push-up pops made out of fish? That is the grossest thing EVER! ;-D

These are my favorite posts! I am wondering about the sherbert oreos? Are they tasty?
